Body and Soul Jazz

Body and Soul is a highly experienced, professional four to six piece jazz function band based in Suffolk. They are well established and have been playing together for about seven years. They play at every sort of function; weddings, parties, dances, corporate events and launches, dinners, nightclubs, garden parties and festivals.

Their music consists of a wide variety of popular styles, spanning the last seventy years: Well loved jazz standards, ‘rat pack’ swing, cool funk, blues, or hot Latin numbers and pop. From sophisticated, instrumental sounds in the background to sip cocktails to, or vocal jazz to enjoy listening to, or the liveliest party music to dance to, you can be sure of first class entertainment with Body and Soul.

The band's line-up is: female pianist/singer, male singer/percussion, saxophone, guitar, bass and drums. They can play as a sextet, quintet, quartet, trio, duo or solo pianist. The size of band will be influenced by your type of event, available space and budget. All combinations can be supplied with or without vocals as required.

The band supplies their own, high quality PA, lights and sound engineer (when a quartet or larger is called for). They tailor their music to suit the occasion and your preferences. They are happy to play requests or learn a special song for you (even if the song is not on their song list) if given well in advance of the event.
